Conclusion

     Based on the data, 38% of Brittle Starfish chose the cut sponge, 25% of Brittle Starfish chose both the sand and the large gravel, 9% had no movement and stayed in the middle, and 3% chose small gravel. In conclusion, the hypothesis was not supported. The data indicated that Brittle Starfish prefer sponges over sand. This may be due to the ease of burrowing and hiding in the crevices between the sponges.

     Of the starfish that remained in the middle, one died there, and the others just didn't move. One starfish that stayed in the middle didn't move its arms, but its tube feet were moving the whole time.
